This policy explains what cookies the Avanor website and platform use. The short version: we only use cookies that are necessary to make the site work. We don't set advertising, social media, or third-party analytics cookies. We do use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic metrics. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless and collects no PII; details below.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They help websites remember information between page loads and visits.

Cookies We Use

Aggregate Analytics (Cookieless)

We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate pageviews and broad traffic patterns. It is cookieless and uses a daily-rotated, hashed visitor identifier that cannot be linked across days or across sites. We do not receive raw IP addresses, persistent user IDs, or any personally identifiable information from Vercel Web Analytics.

What Vercel Web Analytics collects on our behalf:

Pageview events (URL path, referrer)
Country (derived from request IP; the IP itself is not stored)
Device class, OS, and browser (broad categories)
A 24-hour-rotating visitor hash for unique-visitor counts

What We Don't Use

Analytics cookies: No cookie-based analytics — no Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, or similar. Our analytics (Vercel Web Analytics, above) is cookieless.
Advertising cookies: No ad trackers, remarketing pixels, or conversion tracking.
Social media cookies: No Facebook, Twitter/X, or LinkedIn tracking pixels.
Persistent fingerprinting: We do not use persistent device fingerprints or cross-site tracking. The daily-rotated Vercel visitor hash resets every 24 hours and is not used for identification.

Managing Cookies

Since we only use strictly necessary cookies, there is no “preferences” toggle to offer — disabling these cookies would prevent the platform from functioning. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, but you will be signed out of the platform.

Changes

If we change our cookie or analytics practices in the future, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
